We considered other state and local feeds. We include only feeds with an explicit open licence. For example, Delaware's open-bids dataset carries no licence, so it isn't included.
How it works
- Federal: each hour we check whether SAM.gov has published a new daily extract and load it when it has. We keep notices marked active whose response deadline hasn't passed, plus active notices with no deadline posted in the last 90 days. Award notices, justifications and surplus sales are excluded. When a notice was amended and re-posted under the same solicitation number, we show the newest version and search the text of all versions.
- Cities: every three hours we load open NYC City Record solicitations (due today or later) and open or amended LA RAMP bids (closing in the future).
- Deadlines: shown in the time zone given in the notice. NYC notices give a date only, so we keep them through the end of that day. LA deadlines are shown in Pacific Time.
- Search: whole-word matching (singular and plural count as the same word) across title (weighted highest), description, agency, solicitation number, NAICS code and title, and place of performance. All your words must match; if nothing does we say so and show notices matching some. Likely typos are corrected using words in current notices, and we say so.
- Set-asides: if you tick certifications, notices reserved for other set-aside types are hidden (for example, a HUBZone set-aside if you didn't tick HUBZone). Notices with no set-aside are always shown. Qualifying is decided by the contracting officer and SBA rules, not by this filter.
- AI summaries: generated on request from the notice text (and earlier versions with the same solicitation number), never from attachments, and cached until the notice changes. Any number or date in the output that doesn't appear in the notice is removed, and if the main summary fails that check we show no summary.
